Superb 19th century South American hand carved figure of a Saint Anthony holding a book in one hand and a silver stick in the other eyes in glass antique polychrome missing some due to age and use . Saint Anthony is known in Portugal, Spain and Brazil as a marriage saint, because there are legends of him reconciling couples, and helping them to find a husband or wife .
