#766 Rare African Old Bobo Mask Helmet Burkina Faso 26.25" H w/ stand

Hand carved  in Burkina Faso in the 1950s or earlier, this rare and highly coveted BoBo dance mask is a true masterpiece from a private collection. Its intricate geometric design is adorned with vivid strip horns and features stylized square eyes, a rectangular nose, and a mouth, while the forehead and top are embellished with a circular motif. Despite developing small cracks, wood loss, and openings over time, this mask only adds to its authenticity and rich history. Standing at 26.25 inches in height with the stand  and the mask itself 20.5"h by 9" w by 7" D , it comes with a custom black iron stand 6" by 6" and is sure to add a unique touch to any luxury collection.
