Vintage Chinoiserie Celadon Resting female on each size , Opium Pillow with high relief flowers decor etc...These pillows were used in opium dens in China from the 19th century onwards. People would put their money and valuables under the pillow or through the hole, and would lay down to smoke their opium. . The smokers claimed that the opium made the pillow feel as soft as a cloud and the warmth the opium brought would counteract the coolness of the porcelain. It is unsigned.This charming piece is approximately 6.75” long x 7.25” tall x 5.5” deep
