
Superb Mali, Marka mask wood w/nice patina. and partially covered with an alloy sheet.
Oval hollowed base, carved with a narrow face with elongated chin, crowned by vertical protruding horns and a Chiwara in the center , a long nose bridge ,w/red pompons missing the pompom on the other ear and minor wood loss.
All along the Niger this mask type is used for ceremonies associated with fishing and agriculture.
