This remarkable pair of antique Sino British Victorian Jacobean revival ornate throne chairs, with the male armchair featuring lions as a symbol of protection and the female chair featuring Fu Bats as a symbol of long life, showcases superior-quality carved rosewood backs, open arms with a grapes twist design, and turned twisted legs, all resting atop original brass caster feet. Crafted between 1850 and 1860 in Canton-China, these stunning throne chairs boast beautiful carving and craftsmanship with a luxurious color and patina.
The male chair stands at approximately 55" in height, 24.5" in width, and 23" in depth; the female chair approximately 51" in height, 22" in width, and 18.5" in depth.
