Vintage 20th century hand-carved and hand-painted solid wood Old  Bluebill  duck decoy. This substantial piece measures 15.5" deep by 6.5" wide by 8" high. Beautifully carved with fine detailing, hand-painted finish, and inlaid glass eyes that bring the bird to life. This flat-bottom decoy was actively used in the field and has developed a rich patina from decades of age.   The piece shows authentic wear consistent with its working history .A genuine example of American folk art and sporting heritage, perfect for the serious decoy collector.
