This  rare antique Caucasian Kazak Sewan rug, originating from the 1850's, is a magnificent and vibrant piece. Named after Lake Sewan in Armenia, it holds a unique story and reflects the individuality of its weaver. As a tradition passed down through generations, rug weaving is deeply connected to the tribal village where it was created. Perhaps you will notice that the colors may vary slightly due to the weavers' dependence on local plants and materials. This characteristic, known as abrash, adds to the authenticity and natural beauty of this rare piece. Measuring at 62 inches high and 34 inches wide, it is a valuable addition to any collection.
