#5439 Superb/ Rare African Old Baule Stool 16.5" H

This vintage Baule stool from the Baule tribe, from Cote d'Ivoire, is a true rarity. Hand-carved from a single piece of wood, the intricately designed geometric motifs in white high relief showcase the tribe's fine craftsmanship. Standing at 16.5" tall and with a 14" diameter, this stool is a superb example of tribal art and leadership symbolism. Minor losses are present, but overall, it is in good condition.
