#5220 African Cast Bronze Vessel Kuduo Ashanti Tribe Ghana

This exquisite cast bronze vessel, known as a kuduo, was historically reserved for the elite members of the Akan kingdoms. Inside the kuduo, people would typically store gold dust, nuggets, and other personal items of significance. This item features a standing bird and snake on the lid handle, which is said to provide luck and protection, as well as two figures on the side handles. The vessel measures 10.75"h by 9"w by 5.5" D, and is even more impressive in person.
