They are best known for the historical Kuba Kingdom, also known as the Kingdom of the Bakuba or Bushongo, which flourished between the 17th and 19th centuries. Kuba grow and cultivate corn, cassava, millet, peanuts, and beans as staples. They hunt, fish, and grow raffia and oil palms both as a cash crop and for use in their intricate textiles and basketry
