#451 Antique Mid-19th C. OTTOMAN Gold/Silver Metallic Thread Embroidered Tablecloth c. 1870s

This exceptional and rare mid-19th century Ottoman tablecloth, dating from circa 1840 to 1870, is crafted from linen and richly embroidered with genuine gold and silver metallic threads. Measuring 95" by 68", it showcases a central star-shaped medallion, surrounded by floral motifs and intricate Arabic calligraphy along the borders. The embroidery employs all-natural dyes, reflecting authentic craftsmanship. While the piece exhibits some age-related wear, including minor thread loss /holes  and darkening of the linen border, it remains in overall good condition, preserving its historical and artistic significance.
