#3749 African Baga Low Wood Stool Guinea-Bissau 11.75" H

This gorgeous low-rise wood stool was expertly hand-carved from one single piece of solid wood by the Baga tribe of Guinea-Bissau. Stools are a subtle but artful form of expression for the Baga, and their more well-known large masks and serpent sculptures are some of the most extraordinary in all of Africa. This particular piece   shows old restoration in place /loss/wear overall good condition and is both strong and stable. It measures 11.75" in height and 11.75" in diameter, and must be seen in person to be fully appreciated.
