This gorgeous low-rise wood stool was expertly hand-carved from one single piece of solid wood by the Baga tribe of Guinea-Bissau. Stools are a subtle but artful form of expression for the Baga, and their more well-known large masks and serpent sculptures are some of the most extraordinary in all of Africa. This particular piece is in excellent condition and is both strong and stable. It measures 11.75" in height and 11.75" in diameter, and must be seen in person to be fully appreciated.
