Superb old hand-carved solid wooden Chief chair with decorative metal and engraving details. From the Ivory Coast of Africa. 27" h by 21' w by 17.25" d Seat 13" h.Low chairs such as this were carried on the shoulders of village men  for the chief as they went to attend social gatherings or community rituals in the Baule tribe.
