An  "Otote" is a traditional wooden ceremonial weapon—specifically a club or mace—crafted by the indigenous Karajá people of the Amazon basin Brazil In Mato Grosso and Tocantins states, Central-Eastern Brazil.  Made   by a striking hardwood mace has a  prismatic form, the handle wrapped in plant fibre woven into a two-colored geometric pattern featuring traditional Karajá motifs. The proximal end is ringed and finished with a slightly conical pommel. 29" h by 1.75"w by 1.5" D 

Reserved for powerful warriors and clan chiefs, this combat club served dual purposes—as a formidable weapon and as a ceremonial dance staff in sacred rites. A remarkable example of indigenous craftsmanship and cultural heritage.
