This Blessing and Protection Buddha statue features a 27.5" h x 6" w x 5" d depicting the mudra, Abhayamudra, or gesture of fearlessness. The upper hand gives a gesture of bestowing blessings, while the other hand rests in the Buddha's lap open and facing up, signifying compassion. In some depictions, the other hand extends outward in a pose of comfort. This vintage sculpture has some signs of wear, but is overall in good condition and has a maker's mark on the back.
